New diagnosis

About 8 months or so ago I started having pain in my lower back that radiated into my pelvic area. I scheduled an appointment with my GYN and during follow ups discovered that I wasn’t fully emptying my bladder. My doctor referred me to a urologist. Without having seen me before, the urologist immediately came in and said…..you have interstitial cystitis. I am a 36 year old female. I have pain/pressure in my lower pelvic area very often but honestly I think I’ve just gotten used to it and don’t notice it anymore unless I think about it, but it does always feel like something is “there.” I go to the bathroom very often during the day but am fine during the night. Before my period starts, I do notice that the pressure is much worse and I can tell I’m not fully emptying my bladder. The urologist recommend a “bladder stretching” surgery. Did anyone have the procedure done as the first step? It just felt very overwhelming to go in for an initial visit and have a diagnosis and surgery recommended within 15 minutes. This doctor is very highly rated for what it’s worth.

Has anyone experienced a seat back failure in a VW after being rear ended? My husband and son were rear ended at about 45 miles per hour in our 2021 Atlas. The driver seat broke backwards hitting my son, who was in a 5-point harness in the face. We spent five nights in the hospital with multiple facial fractures, a skull fracture and CSF leak. I’m not even sure what I’m asking, just wanted to know if others had experienced it.
