I (34f) was a late bloomer and had sex for the first time in 2024. Had sex with a man I met and didn’t use condom the first time. It was so stupid. I just blanked. No reason why I didn’t. We parted ways and I met my now husband four months later. I got tested for HSV a month and a little more after that unprotected first time. Recently, my husband got a physical and got tested for everything. And HSV 2 came back. Neither of us had symptoms. Although I might have had an outbreak on the outside of my thigh while pregnant. I went to urgent care and they said it was just a regular rash. Now I’m feeling guilty, dirty, and embarrassed. I feel so very bad. My husband blames me a bit but is putting on a brave face. I just feel so bad.
