I’m planning a couple month trip through Southern China, Vietnam, Thailand, and Laos, and I’m wondering what dating apps are actually worth using in each place.
For context, I’m a white European guy in my mid 20s, 6'5", with blue eyes, decent looking. I’m mainly looking for normal dating, meeting people for food/drinks, seeing what happens.
I’m curious whether Tinder, Bumble, Hinge, etc. are useful in these places, or if there are local apps that are much better, especially in Southern China compared with Vietnam, Thailand, and Laos. I’m also wondering whether it’s worth paying for premium features like Tinder Passport or Bumble Travel Mode so I can start matching and setting up dates before I arrive, or whether that’s a waste of money and it’s better to just use the apps once I’m actually there.
