Backcountry Over/Underpacking Advice

I travel a lot for work, I tend to over pack, when I backpack or camp I tend to be a minimalist for clothes etc but survival gear I tend to go a little extra...

Our entry point is Mono Meadow, after our first night well be "base camping" at LYV for three nights doing half dome and clouds rest then out through Mist trail...

Going July 5-10

I know weather can be a crapshoot but lows in the upper 40's to low 50's seem to be the norm and highs upper 80's to low 90's?

I'm obviously not brining any crazy low temp bags or heavy clothes.

I know the obvious...

Tent, bedding/pad, socks socks socks, bear horn, mosquito net/repellant, sunblock, knife, water filter.

Whats something you'd always want to have that you didn't on your first excursion or whats something you would never go without?
