Going from Olympic saber to HEMA Rapier

I have been fencing olympic saber for a bit now, but I always wanted to do Hema rapier. I recently found out a place I thought only did longsword had rapier so I might swap to rapier. I'm mostly just curious though what transfers from olympic saber to HEMA rapier, like does any footwork or blade techniques transfer.

Why do people scream?

I've been a saber fencing for a bit and this one girl who's been at my club for a bit now has started yelling super loudly after like every other point she wins. This isn't even during anything intense, it's like a quick 15 touch bout at the end of the class for fun. Then when I slightly poked her on accident she started screaming at the person who was reffing for us "Give him a yellow card!" Mostly what I'm trying to say is, why do fencers scream? Oh also she seems like a douche cause she was also yelling at this one 14 year old.

TLDR: Why do fencers scream so much and generally seem to be so angry

Making sheet music for fencing

I am currently making sheet music for Saber style fencing and I feel like I'm forgetting things, but I'm not sure what. Can someone please give me suggestions to add. Please suggest things that need to have their own symbol/symbol combination. By symbol combination I mean stuff like the flunge. To indicate a flunge I did a jump + lunge. If it can be done by just placing the symbols in order then don't suggest them. An examples of what not to suggest is remise as that can just be indicated by a missed attack and an attack. The things I have are as follows:

Target Areas

Advances/Retreats

Sign Showing Loss and Gain of Right of Way

Parries

Attacks that Hit Parries

Lunges

Feints

Coup/Disengages

Beat

Jumps

Flunge

Balestra

Circular Parry

Backwards Cross Steps

Point in Line

Missed Attack

Weird rattling sound on 11th fret a string

I got this bass yesterday for 400 dollars “used” (apparently It wasn’t actually used and it was just sitting in a warehouse for 5 years) since it just looked thought it was cool looking and yesterday it seemed fine but then I was just a practicing a bit and noticed the 11th fret on the A string makes a rattling sound.

Bass Guitar is so fun

I am an upright/contra/double/classical bassist. Today I got my first Bass guitar and and amp and I started practicing with it and oh my god, without realizing I realized I was practicing for 5 hours because of how much fun it was. Also it was extremely nice being able to let my hands go without worrying in the slightest because of the strap. I live in constant fear while holding my upright bass.

I am an extremely short guy (5’0) and when I learned double bass at a school they used a half sized bass. I think It felt somewhat fine and I was looking for a compact way to get one since I don’t have a lot of room in my room. I looked at electric double basses, but I can’t find any half sized basses.
