Fall 2026

I really need help.
I am an international student from Canada (Quebec) and I did one year of CEGEP and then realised I don’t want to live in Canada. Plus Canadian med and dental school are so hard to get into. I wanted to go to pre med in a regular uni in the US but I am too late for offer, especially scholarship since it’s really expensive. Then I learned about Community College and I applied at Santa Monica college in California for 2 year so I could transfer after .

Is nursing at a CC is a good idea for pre med because I know you also need pre req and sometimes I heard it’s difficult to transfer all the credits at the 4 year university.

Is Santa Monica a good school?

I choose nursing because I am not 100% sure I want to be a doctor, but I know that I could handle being a nurse.
