My quest for the rattling
In my quest for what's rattling in the glovebox area, I've removed a piece of trim under it (it was mentioned in several places online as the cause - it ain't it) and I've found that this pipe on the left moves. It feels like it's not attached to anything for a good 10-15 cm. Unfortunately, it's kind of hard to see what's above.
Could anyone adventurous enough to lean in the passanger footwell find those openings, stick a finger in them and see if the pipe ends wiggle? I don't have a picture with the trim still attached and I'm lazy enough to not go to my car right now, but you should find the opening for the pipes regardless of the trim, as it's supposed to blow air on your feet, I guess, so it can't be obstructed by trim.
