why do REI women's pants fit like that?

silly time to be posting this in light of recent REI events however i just got in REI branded rain pants for an upcoming trip and tried them on with my REI base layer pants to ensure they'll fit okay. This is my third pair of REI branded pants , i have a pair of their fleece sweats too. mind you i am plus size with a smaller waist and wider hips so pants are a nightmare for me anyway.
All three pants fit fine, they have some stretch too so they're not uncomfortable.
However I noticed all three pants have so much room in the crotch area... they all sag there. I have hon through review photos of these pants and have noticed they even fit weird on other women in the same area. whether they are thinner or around my size.
Do they just make the hips a tad wider than men's pants and not adjust to an actual women's fit?
The front feels similar to some of the men's pants i wear (that aren't REI brand)

Not a huge deal but definitely uncomfortable in that area of that pants which also feels like it affects the thigh fit too... all three pants look and feel like i have a wenchie...
just annoying when i have even moved in them yet and they're already bunching up in the crotch

curious to see how they feel on my canoe / camping and hiking trip...

anyone else notice this? maybe they just fit me specifically weird? (doubt it bc even the models and review photos look similar)

Anchorage's FB Marketplace Problem

Why do people think their second hand items are worth near full price?
The things I see posted on the local marketplace... used, cheap , and sometimes dirty things posted for almost the same price brand new. SOMETIMES MORE!

I get it, inflation is up but why are we posting our USED things for such high prices?

This feels like a recent thing, like in the last year.. Which I can see why, because we all need money rn..

But seriously why are people posting their 30-40 year old furniture for the same price as it was brand new.. 30-40 years ago!!! (mind you it's not even a fancy vintage item). People seem to confuse old for "vintage" these days. It's so silly!

For years I have furnished my home with quality second hand items - most of which were free or less than $100 and typically from marketplace. I've been looking for a quality second hand bed frame. Why are used bed frames MORE than a brand new one on marketplace? Hello? Have we lost our minds?

Anyways this feels silly to post but seriously, I am just in awe in people's delusions of how much their used junk is worth.

UPDATED THOUGHTS: thank you all for sharing your grievances or giving informative explanations. This was a silly topic I thought we deserved to complain about lol!
Someone made a good point that older items were made to last compared to newer home goods which makes them more valuable and I agree!! I also commend those needing to make some cash for whatever it may be. Especially since marketplace as a whole is a hellscape with a lot of idiot buyers. A few of you that are regular sellers shared that you expect people to bargain which is actually reassuring. Anyways my hunt for a sturdy bedframe continues. I appreciate you all - my fellow neighbors. Keep low balling on marketplace and being annoying on reddit ❤️
