I have accumulated a bit more than 13,000 gold bars in prepping for the castle update. No save scumming, medium risk at the bank, I don’t run the bonds investment at all due to the long timeframe. 

Its broken down as 580+ bonds, as well as 6,900 in bond decorations (I have 11 chalice of moonlights I really like them), and 500ish box of fortune (about 300 gold bars worth). 

My shelves also are lined with only rare Gold chalices (there are three rare varieties if you didnt know, ive been hoarding these as well)

How do I do it?

First and foremost, mining silver + brimstone + mercury, not from gifting trolls, actually mining with the proper gear.  I can easily get a few hundred silver bars in an hour or two of his way. 

Next is golden apples, i only farm them cycling rain via the rainstorm necklace and in the day, also i save and close the app after every farming it seems to work better for their spawn rates. I farm them in Demeniss near the second S on the map. 

Another method, slower and only a few bars sometimes but is to rob nobles at the zoo, i honestly havent done this in like 100 hours though.  

Theres also farming palmer leaves with the gardener pack but I mostly use that to get silver to buy box of fortunes(currently at 500ish hoarded lol). I also have a breeding pair of each large fish (except electric eel since it sells for less) in my pond for this reason. 

Also, when crafting i run a full efficiency abyss gear set for the chance to get resources (mostly apples) back for more bars.

Bought one of every bond decoration with the exception of the Chalice of Moonlight, which I bought 4 of because they fit perfectly on the shelves!

So ready to move on to bigger and better buildings aka my castle!

Added the 60 bonds fishing decoration to my room this morning!

Have got 4 out of the 5 bond decorations I want (still need the fishing one), I currently have 200 saved bonds for future DLC, still gonna grind out more.

Big fan of the Chalice for 30 bonds because it actually fits on the bookshelf so I definitely plan to get more.

Already have the new paintings up from 2.0 update, wishing for more decorations in the future.

I still have 200 bonds in reserve at the bank, only buy the decorations with my extras just in case. Finally had enough for the three decorations I wanted most so decided time to redecorate.

Next up the Dolphins for me, I love the house aspect and the grinding for gold so for me this was a great addition!

Hit the house limit of 500, will probably move a few things around as needed, but mostly done!
Pond has two of each large fish besides the giant red Sea bream, love seeing the pairs swim around.

Got this bad boy at 6 AM at Crimson* Lake, was a bitch to reel in but looks great in my pond.

took about 8 collective hours over multiple sessions id guess. 10-15 marlins atleast before i saw this baby. it took four reel in attempts but i got it wasnt letting it go!

finished the main quest this morning, moved over my house, excited for future updates and still questing and exploring in the meantime!
