A Hypercube I made with clear glass

Each piece is individually hand, cut, and ground, and polished on all sides before being glued back together with a permanent glass epoxy called HXTAL. I only use a water fed tile saw and a diamond grinding wheel to create these.

Dear PA, in 300 hours, never once have I actually wanted Kliff to drop down and hang on a ledge.

Please christ, release me from this hell.

Do any controls still annoy the hell out of you guys?

I feel like a criminal. Is there any other way to get ivory? I don’t want to kill elephants 🥲

How do you tackle this massive map? (New player looking for advice)

I pre-ordered the game back at launch but am finally getting around to playing it now.
Given how massive the open world is, I'm wondering how people usually tackle it.

I've heard the main story isn't the strongest, so do most players just use it as a tool to unlock new map regions?
Do you find it better to just wander off organically to uncover hidden secrets, or is it wiser to push the main quest up to a certain chapter first?

How are people organizing/sorting their outfit collections?

- What is the current best way to sort outfits/armor by collection/set name? I currently have to manually pick up all older items of the set, withdraw them into inventory and push them back in altogether so that stuff arranges appropriately as a group when sorting by DATE DESC.

- Earlier (before the patch that added persistent sorting mode/setting across storage/inventories IIRC?), there used to be a sort by NAME mode too, which was perfect for armor sets.

- The other alternative is sorting by TYPE. This still works well for private storage (weapons, accessories, Abyss items, and miscellaneous). However, not the most convenient for armor...

Currently, it is somewhat of a hassle if one isn't sure they have the full set of an armor already

Ready to join you, lads!

Here we go! Yesterday was my first time running up this game. I can honestly say this hits me when almost like the day I got my Skyrim Legendary Edition on PS3.

I wish to spend my time on this game so much, to the point that I can pretty much say it surpasses Skyrim, but we'll see.

I hope everyone have a great day ahead!

I hope Oongka is not that bad as everyone says cause he looks awesome, if he really is, I hope they give him something in the future (Shapeshifting pls)

Amour Stands and Weapon stands for our gear

This already exists in the game through the pre placed objects in the game, but it would be amazing if Pearl Abyss added house items we could buy where we could display unused gear. I think it’d look pretty cool in the house, though there is limited space. All the more reason for the developers to add some kind of alternative houses in the game that are bigger. But, there’s a lot of cool stuff I don’t use anymore because I get better gear and it’d be cool to “physically”see them sometimes.

Does anyone else feel like they're missing a lot of context?

I'm doing the Bared Fang quest in.... chapter 7, I believe, and I feel like I'm seriously missing context when talking to the Blue Fang guard.

There are dialogue options but they don't explain what "Truth" and "Lie" mean and there is no context for any of the sub-options for Lie to make up for the lack of context because Kliff doesn't actually say anything, like what is Kliff saying about "Blue Fang" and why am I bringing up Jian?

The whole game I've felt like this, I haven't been skipping anything and yet it feels like a significant amount of important context has been skipped on my behalf. Am I alone here?

I love almost everything about this game, but this might be the first game with a fishing mini game that I hate.

Overall, this game is excellent. Going for 100% everything and enjoying the journey.

I'm also the guy who loves fishing mini games in video games. Animal crossing, stardew valley, RDR2, FFXV, you name it. If a video game that's not about fishing has a fishing minigame, I love it. I'm the guy who will get distracted and avoid progressing through the main gameplay because he wants to catch all the fish. Even in OSRS, fishing is the first skill I get 99 in.

So when I heard crimson desert had fishing, I got excited.

But crimson desert was the first time I've ever played a fishing mini game and gone "I never want to do that again".

It's just terrible and unsatisfying. This fishing system needs a complete overhaul. Just add a basic button-press timing mechanic or copy what any of the game's have done. The mining and woodcutting mechanics are also very disappointing, but at least they are so simple it's hard to complain about them.

80 hours in, experiencing an enjoyment "plateau".

I have a 2nd shift job, so I usually stay up late with my partner, and sleep well into the morning. Yesterday, I woke myself up at 8 am in hopes of spending a few hours playing Crimson Desert before I had to get ready for work. I fired up the game and began wandering through the woods of Pailune, meandering in the direction of a quest marker, fought off some Mistwatch Hunters (or whatever they're called), completed one small quest objective... and in less than a half hour after starting the game, I found myself thinking "eh, I'd rather be sleeping." and I quit and went back to bed for another hour and a half.

Up til now, I've been very into the game. I survived the first 20 hours of underwhelming introductory quests because I knew it would get better eventually, and it did. I pushed through most of the camp expansions and I've gotten well into what SHOULD be the real meat of the game, and believe me, I've enjoyed my time thus far. But I'm starting to feel one thing more frequently than I would like: fatigue. I should be getting more invested as I go, seeing as I've survived the learning curve and gotten somewhat deep into the story... and yet, I feel like I've hit an enjoyment plateau. I've cleared enough enemy camps, fought enough bosses, and completed enough side quests to feel like I know exactly what to expect from the game, and because of that, I'm rapidly losing interest.

And this is in spite of the incredibly impressive open world (of which I haven't explored more than a third of the entire map), the varied combat system, and all the other mechanics that exist. I've completed most of the Hernand quests and I'm starting to work on Pailune. I've gotten into chapter 7 or 8, I think. After the initial siege that drives the Black Bears out of Pailune (the city).

I assumed that wanting to see the whole map would be enough motivation to push me through the game, because I've barely been to Demeniss and haven't set foot in Delysia or the Crimson Desert yet. Despite that, I find myself feeling like the game has no more surprises for me at this point, and it's just gonna be another 100 hours of clearing generic strongholds of generic enemies with slightly varied outfits, completing mediocre quests for nondescript NPC's, and all punctuated by the occasional semi-entertaining boss fight.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not writing this to trash the game. I've had fun with it thus far, and the game is very competent in the content it provides, but it's beginning to feel like just that: content. Not singular gameplay experiences and unforgettable moments... just content. The same basic quest structure with various new coats of paint. In short, I'm tired of fighting nothing but basic human cannon fodder enemies. IMO, the game needs more non-human mobs, monsters, beasts and/or supernatural beings. Minibosses. More one on one fights with singularly powerful enemies, rather than just groups of soldiers and bandits to cut through. Does that exist in the late game? Do I have anything in store that will change the way I'm feeling right now? Because I reeeally want to continue enjoying the game, and I'm not sure if the game is truly out of ideas, or if I'm just becoming jaded, or perhaps I'm experiencing a "lull" in the narrative  and things are going to get exciting again before long.

Has anyone else experienced this mid-game "slump" that I'm feeling? Tell me it gets better, please. Because I don't want to give up on this game, more than 80 hours into it.

Shout out to this awesome guy

This guy Dan Allen gaming YouTube channel was some of the BEST content for crimson desert I’ve seen.

I’m 34 with two jobs and 3 kids. At most I have two hours to play a day.

I looked up Abyss puzzles and I stumbled upon his channel. My guy gets straight to the point. No sponsers only ad before and after the video. Guide is informative and that commentary is hella funny. I didn’t get through all of his videos but I know he got more crimson desert ones. I insta subbed to this guy. Go look him up guys

You can get ambushed by bosses

As the title says.

I was minding my own business. Taking a very enthusiastic walk through a scantum.

Went to fast travel and upon arrival I preceded to get my ass stomped until I realized what was going on.

Mountain God Boar (giant tree looking boar with mini boars with him) AND Icewalker. Both bosses. AT THE SAME TIME.

(Yes I have a clip of it. Yes I won... After getting my heart clear and knowing what was going, which took longer than I'd like to admit lol)

As a bird of prey fan I found this very cool. 😅

A lovely moment of an Eagle catching a fish, not something I expected to see in game but it's such a nice little detail.
