Now I know that this sounds extreme but bare with me.

Im 15 rn, ever since i abandoned shooting with 2 hands, around when i was like 9-10 i believe, i started to shoot with my left cus it felt more natural for some reason.

This would not be a problem but unfortunately I’m actually right handed, like at everything. I am also right eye dominant.

my current shot is bad, its really inconsistent, feels good some days completely off on the other. I have a terrible thumb flick, pull ups, fades are all like bad, uncontrolled. Actually, now that i think about it my jumper is just uncontrolled, clanky, it just doesnt feel smooth at all which is a feeling I really crave.

Idk if its too early to resort to this but I’ve been training non stop for like a month and a half, and i feel like im not getting anywhere, my jumper is still wildly inconsistent even though ive been getting shots up everyday. I havent decided yet but if i decide to switch i will dedicate my whole summer to this. I was already planning to train alot in the summer so it wouldnt be TOO bad. At the end of the day im curious on wether i would get more progress trying to shoot from 0 with my naturally dominant side (hand, eye) than putting onto a kinda flawed base which is my non dominant side.

I know the basic ways to pickup a ball from the ground like the foot pop or whatever you wanna call it but I was training with some friends the other day and one of my friends picked up the ball with one hand, it looked like he pushed it into the ground and he picked it up somehow and I've been trying for like 30 mins and i cant seem to replicate it, how do i do it?

I’m a really small guard, and I recently had 2 games that I played horrid in, I played like 20-25 mins and I basically didn’t have any positive actions, I kept making dumb passes and turning the ball over. My finishing and shooting are good but I couldn’t play to score at all during both the games, only got like 6 points off 2 threes in one and 4 points of free throws in the other. I was so bad that i was basically fighting to not turn the ball over and that made me do it even more. Sometimes i found myself underestimating how tall players are and they would aend up jumping and catching my pass, my passes got intercepted a ton, sometimes I got back tapped after trying to go on a break and lost the ball that way. It felt like I couldn’t focus, felt like i was hopeless. It was scary. I usually dont play this way but 2 games that were this bad really concerned me.

Does anyone know why this could be happening? How can i avoid these horrible performances in the future? What general tips do you have for small guards?
