Bevel is no longer available in Russia — and I’m left with a paid subscription that won’t receive updates
I've been a Bevel user for a while now, and I've purchased the annual subscription multiple times — not just because I needed the features, but because I genuinely wanted to support the team and the project. I believed in what they were building.
So imagine my frustration when I found out that Bevel is no longer available in the Russian region. I still have 11 months left on my current subscription, but the app I'm running won't receive any updates. I'm essentially paying for a frozen version of the product.
I get that the geopolitical situation complicates things for developers — App Store availability in Russia has become a mess, and many apps have disappeared from the region, some by developer choice, some under pressure. It's a real problem with no easy answers.
But here's what stings: I paid for this subscription specifically to support ongoing development. Not to get a static app that will slowly fall behind.
I love the app. That's exactly why this hurts.
