So my bf has to move on limited notice to start a new job, and long story short, has decided to go in the “live in an RV” route, for multiple reasons. It’s been something he’s wanted and considered doing for a long time, and now seems to be the perfect opportunity rather than looking for short term, cheap rentals that’ll take 2 small dogs until he gets acclimated to a new job. This is something he’d rather stay in for years. Not moving around, but renting out a site, yet can still move if the job doesn’t work out. Since this will basically be a primary residence, how do you go about registering everything? Any tips/tricks/advice on getting this started and legit? He hasn’t gotten an RV/camper yet, but is shopping for one now and is quite familiar with using them for extended periods of time as well as some basic maintenance and repair. So any tips on that are welcome as well. Affordability is the biggest factor…he’s pretty handy with general maintenance, repairs, basic construction, engines, basic plumbing/septic/electrical, etc.

Looking for a short term rental, just for one month but possibly longer, depending how difficult it is to find a permanent spot. Am looking to move in Nov 1., and maybe through December. Single man, 30’s, 2 small dogs. Would love a tiny home/cabin/trailer, but the ones I’ve found are already booked too far out. Affordability and location are probably the most important factors, but was also hoping for no roommates or shared common areas (lofts/basements are fine). Preferably under $1800/month. Doesn’t have to be in this exact area, but somewhere reasonably close to Front Royal. Any suggestions?
