Hi all!

I currently drive a 2026 M3 AWD in the NE US.

Today I started noticing a new harsher noise during acceleration and deceleration; I know there's normally some high pitched whine with electric motors usually but I noticed that the sound is a lot more harsh out of nowhere and I'm not sure if it's normal or not.

I wasn't running the climate control at the same time. It's only during acceleration and deceleration. Is this due to some kind of thermal management/change or is this abnormal? Nothing seemed out of the ordinary in service mode.

I've attached a recording of the sound when slowly accelerating and decelerating. I'm wondering if this might be a bearing issue (despite the vehicle only having 3,000 miles).

I've attached a recording where I tried to capture the sound. It's at about the 5 second mark. I already have a service center appointment for other issues so I'm trying to see if this is worth adding on.
