Name change evidence

I am gathering evidence for citizenship by descent. My great-grandmother was born in Canada. Her daughter, my American-born grandmother, has a completely different name than her birth certificate. She was born in 1926. She used this other completely different name her whole life.

I have the following documents using her "new" name:

  1. Marriage certificate listing G0 as her mom

  2. Death certificate listing G0 as her mom

  3. 1930s US census listing G0 as her mom

  4. GOs obituary listing grandma as a daughter

What is the strength of this evidence in your opinion?

Letting your partner leave you

I want my wonderful Non-narc husband to divorce me and Go on to have a happy life after our kids are out of the house. We both agreed it's important to be around until then. Do any of you feel this way toward your partner? That you actually care about them so much you would make sure they can leave. I promised no unhinged behavior if he ever wanted to go. I'm toxic and I know it.

People are interchangeable

All people have good and bad qualities. This is why people are interchangeable to me. If I'm looking for a friend, there are many people to choose from. Same if I'm looking for a partner. My kids are different but in theory I could have more who I would love just as much as the ones I have now.

I don't understand how people get so attached to one particular person when there are many other people who would fill that role in their life. Especially since normal people want to love other people. If you like to chat most people can be your friend. If you want sex, most people can be your partner. Anyone else feel that way? Is it that hard to find compatible people to fill these roles? I feel like all people are annoying in some ways so it'd be nice to change them all out every few years 🤣

I'm like the sister I hate

My sister is the scapegoat. I am The Golden child. In midlife this is really hurting her feelings and she keeps fighting with my parents. She honestly gave them tons of grief her whole life.

We have similar family situations. We married into close loving families and don't fit in and have caused turmoil. Her family left her the minute they could. The minute the last kid turned 18 the father just left with them. Two of them weren't even his kids! I worry about being like her and having that happen.

Did anyone realize they were repeating toxic family patterns and imitating someone they didn't like?

Anxiety

Have you had anxiety your whole life? Have you never had anxiety? Did you only develop anxiety after finding out about your NPD?

Shame for past events

Does anyone have strategies for bearing the shame of past behavior? I have done things most of the population would consider immoral or even evil. I hate knowing based on cultural standards I am very mentally ill and just a bad person. How do we come to terms with this?

Weed makes me feel normal

When I am high, I can imagine how other people are so happy in the world by how I feel. I am delighted and amazed by even the thought of my children. I feel such love for my husband and my parents. I'm grateful to have felt this but I can never make it stick. I go back to my selfish reactive self.

Everyday sadism

How intense is your enjoyment of seeing others suffer or go through hard times? Mine is really extreme. I know I have this disorder because mine doesn't even stem from jealousy.

Forgetting I have NPD

When I am high I have no problem remembering I have NPD. My behavior and thoughts throughout life makes that certain. When I'm not high I just have anxiety. Anyone else experience this?
