Moving: Chicago to Atlanta
Hi! My husband is being relocated for work. We currently live in Chicago with two young kids and no car. We use public transportation to get around Chicago. Neither of us have been to Atlanta.
I was wondering if anyone can suggest the best areas to live? I work remote, but my husband will need to commute to Sandy Springs. I understand Atlanta does not have public transportation like Chicago, but wondering if there’s areas that are more walkable for schools, groceries, etc. and that has a train station nearby for my husband to use to commute to work. We’re not committed to buying a car just yet.

We’re visiting in a couple of weeks but I was really looking to narrow down the areas to check out.
*We own our place in Chicago and will likely rent it out and rent in Atlanta until we know how permanent the relocation is.
