Hey everyone,

I wanted to share another build from my Neon Brick City project. This time it’s the Tachibana Denkiten, a small electronics and general goods store for the old town part of my cyberpunk city.

It’s a redesign (remoc) of an original convenience store by Rebelnili on Rebrickable, which I converted into a compact electronics shop selling phones, consoles, TVs, and PCs.

Here the original MOC:

Some of the changes I made:

  • Converted the original convenience store into an electronics shop
  • Replaced the green-yellow awning with a custom Tachibana Denkiten sign
  • Added tiles upstairs for a cleaner look
  • Added various electronics inside
  • Redesigned the back with hinges and a removable wall
  • Added a fuse box and AC unit to make the backwall not so "naked"
  • Prepared entry points for future lighting

You will find those kind of stores all over East Asia, like in Akihabara Tokyo. Really loved to work on it.

[repost because I was logged in as a temp account ...duh. Sorry]

Hey everyone,

I wanted to share a small build from my Neon Brick City project. It’s based on a redesign (remoc) of an original Japanese tea store by Rebelnili — but I converted it into a tobacco shop which will fit into the Old Town of my cyberpunk city.

Here the original MOC:
rebrickable.com/mocs/MOC-197766/rebelnili/tea-shop/

Some of the changes I made:

  • Switched the original concept into a tobacco store
  • Used parts from the Sembo 601087 Tobacco Stall set
  • Reworked the flooring with wooden tiles for a warmer look
  • Added a small interior platform so minifigures align properly with the counter
  • Adjusted the interior details to match the new theme

I love mixing old-style architecture with futuristic elements — that contrast is a big part of what makes cyberpunk cities feel alive. This build is meant to reflect that blend of eras you often see in East Asian/Japanese urban environments.

Would love to hear your opinions!
