World record attempt - Largest Gathering of People Dressed as a Toowoomba Violet
Seems goofy and fun to me. How on earth does one dress as a Toowoomba violet?

Do all these flights have a stop in Sydney or are some non stop? Trying to weigh up travel and flights out of Brissy but it's a hassle.
I'm looking for a recipe for a classic hedgehog slice. The kind of slice that we made during the 80s and 90s that was always a hit at birthday parties and family BBQs.
I remember as a kid we used to make it so often we wouldn't even need to read the recipe but now I can't even remember which biscuits we used? Arrowroot? Milk coffee?
Now when I'm looking for a recipe and there's all this nonsense with roasted nuts, dried fruits, swapping butter for coconut oil, and condensed milk. And I'm sure that's delicious for some people but not what I'm itching for.
Does anyone still have an old school recipe they can share with me? Maybe some thing from Women's Day/Weekly? Margaret Fulton? Your grandma? CWA?
Lots of food options by the looks. Not sure if the food is any good or just a gimmick for customers.
Wondering how it goes Friday before heading out on Sunday with the family.
A few years ago during winter they (TRC??) set up a big ice rink near the library. There was live music, food, hot drinks, games and just a really fun community spirit. Really enjoyed watching all the ice skaters - the skilled ones and the ones.... learning to be skilled. It ran for about 2 weeks each year for only a couple times and then stopped. I'd love to see it return again one year and if anyone here had some insight as to why it stopped or if it's feasible to bring it back I'd love to know.
Very pretty watching the sun set and the twinkly city lights.
There's a building at George st and Roma st intersection near Roma st station. In the upper floors of this building is a multi level space that I simply cannot wrap my mind around. Firstly, the glass panels jut out and surely they must break from heavy hail. Secondly, it's like many strands of vines just twisting up/down. What is the purpose of any of this? It's about 4 storeys of choko vines. If it's supposed to be a green space then surely it's more functional to have a tables and chairs with potted plants?
I have an event in 3 weeks and looking for the best place in town for classic lashes with highly qualified techs. My searches seem to lead me to places that mostly do Korean lifts and tinting and Facebook Sally who works from a back room in her house and is cash only.
I have a friend who is overdue for a nice dinner or a show. She has a 3 year old daughter. I want to take my friend somewhere nice that she can dress up a bit, do her hair and feel a little more herself rather than 'just a mum' while daughter is still welcome. Daughter isn't naughty or feral - she's a typical little kid who gets antsy and needs to get out of her seat from time to time, colour in her book, play with doll.
Is there somewhere that isn't a kids movie, Bluey on stage, Lone Pine, or park playground? Somewhere that's a level or 2 below Montrachet where it's a beautiful dining experience but a child is welcome?
Does anyone have experience or knowledge about working for the Census? What does an average shift look like? Is it gruelling, tedious, dull, great for chatting with people, good experience, etc?
I've already worked AEC positions before and while things were definitely tedious and repetitive it was also great to make a few extra bucks, see how the process works, and chat with people I wouldn't normally meet in my usual day to day. Wondering how the Census would differ?
I like that a few of us all reached 700 on the same day.
