Building a Team for a System-Driven Action Game (Unreal Engine)

I’m currently starting development on a system-focused action game built around a unique energy/combat framework. The project is in early stages, and I’m looking to build a small, focused team of people who want to contribute, learn, and potentially grow this into something bigger over time.

This is primarily a hobby/rev-share project, with the goal of becoming a real product if development progresses well.

Current Needs

Looking for people interested in:

- Unreal Engine Developers (Blueprint / C++)
- Character Animation (combat + movement)
- 3D Environment / Level Design
- VFX Artists (energy/aura/combat effects)
- UI/UX Designers
- Technical Generalists / Beginners welcome

Project Direction (Vague Overview)

- Third-person action focus
- System-driven combat (not button-mashing)
- Emphasis on movement, control, and mechanics
- World-building and structured progression

More detailed systems and documentation will be shared privately with serious contributors.

Goal

Right now the focus is:

- building core systems
- creating a playable prototype
- establishing a consistent workflow

If things go well, this can evolve into:

- a long-term project
- revenue share opportunities
- a portfolio-quality game

Compensation

This is primarily a hobby/rev-share project, but I’m not closed off to paying for specific tasks or milestones as development progresses.

Right now I’m focused on:

- building a solid foundation
- finding the right people to work with

As things grow, I’m open to:

- small paid tasks
- outsourcing specific work
- scaling compensation depending on progress

If you’re mainly looking for paid work only, this may not be the right fit yet. But if you’re open to building something with long-term potential, we can talk.

Expectations

- This is a collaborative hobby project first
- No guaranteed income
- Looking for people who:
- want experience
- want to build something real
- can communicate and stay consistent

If you’re interested, comment or DM with:

- your role
- experience level
- what you want out of the project

I’ll reach out and we can go from there.
