Obviously his villain form is based off of a vampire, but why is that?

The idea/ theory I have is because it connects to closely to the job he had as a human. In media, Vampires are very alluring under some sort of fake guise. Ryu had his "guise" as dressing up as a woman. Vampires attack at night because of their weakness to light, which could be connected to the fact that getting the job done would be a lot more difficult at night, and it's easier to lure in targets that would be vulnerable and alone at night

NOW THIS PART IM EXCITED TO EXPLAIN-

Vampires need blood to survive, to keep living, it's what keeps them fed. So, in a way, Ryu survived off of blood as human. Obviously, he didn't just eat people- but blood meant that the job was done, which meant that he got paid and had a way to survive and make money. So, in a way, technically he was surviving off of blood!

Here's a tiny theory for Jarei!

What if as a human, he was the middle child in his family? Stay with me- often times in homes that may be abusive, or unstable, the middle child ends up becoming the scape goat for a lot of issues. Snakes can be associated with liars, or generally bad people, so what if no matter how honest Jarei was to his parents, he was still blamed due to being a scape goat? Being seen as a snake could've been internally how he felt despite the fact that he most likely didn't do anything wrong, it could've just been something he fell into since no one believed him
