Very new here and this is my first IRA. Linked my Roth to my Chase account which turned out to be an error. I got a direct debit failure notification where the micro deposit couldn’t be pulled back out. Looked it up and it to be a common issue for the uninitiated with how IRAs work.
Do I need to contact Chase to get these cents back to them? Before I got the failure, I also initiated a small transfer to the IRA as a test which is pending and going through tomorrow, though I will remove the account link since I am now learning this is the improper way to do it. (I will do a pull from fidelity or push to CMA, I think??)
Will this transfer fail, go through, and is it not supposed to? I can’t cancel it. Should I reach out to Chase tomorrow in regards to the micro deposit and this transfer?
My apologies if this is not a problem, I’m generally a bit confused and frustrated with myself for not knowing these rules, though they’re not obvious. Thanks.
