Where are the dead in the world of Naruto?

We know that resurrection, reanimation, and even incarnation is real in this world. Where are the dead in the meantime? Are they just chillin’ somewhere waiting their turn to rejoin the living?

Are they sitting by a fire waiting for their son to have a near dead experience so they can talk to them?

They seem pretty chill about resurrection and dying again. Some of them were even cracking jokes. 🤔

It was so destructive that I thought it was one of those scenes where they show something that MAY happen in the future but wasn’t really happening, you know? 😅 Then when it was too obvious I realized it had actually happened 😅
