Is Hope going to be in a coma? Will Hope have a snap recovery? Will Brooke take responsibility for berating her daughter to the point of damaging her health? Where are the writers going with this?
Season two started a bit slow. In fairness though, these shows that have so much time pass between seasons are apt for that because it takes time to reorient to the vibe of the show and its characters. Outside of binging the prior season to refresh, and no one wants to do that. All this being said, this show, this season, rolled like a slow locomotive reaching top speed the last several episodes. Great tv. Jeffrey Wright(a favorite of mine) was superb with his crotchety exchanges, Michael Fassbender was his usual steely self. I don’t want to forget Saura Lightfoot-Leon, a star being born before our eyes. In summary, the entire cast delivered.
Ps. Clayne Crawford, who I remembered from “Rectify” was a deadly force in his role as “Viking”.
