As a design verification engineer, how do I transition out of it after 8 years ?
Hi Everyone,
I need some advice especially from USA citizens. I am a design verification engineer at a large aerospace company for 8 years. I don’t get paid tech money and I’d say I’m underpaid. I do not enjoy my work at all and I am feeling very depressed lately and wondering where this career will take me. Even though it provides good WLB, I’m finding it hard to stay motivated. I have my undergrad and masters from top public school in USA with 3.5+ gpa - however that doesn’t mean anything. I feel sad that I spent all these years studying yet I am unsatisfied with what I am doing. I do apply to other jobs but I feel like networking goes a lot further and I am at a disadvantage since I’m from a minority group in this field (connections and race matters a lot if your a hiring manger). I’ll be thankful for any advice or how can I pivot out. I am thinking of MBA but is it a good option with AI and all?
