Need a break.
I have a confession. Today me and my teammates went into the matriarch event on bluegate 1-2am. Prior to readying up, one of our teammates needed some gear, so we I brought in an extra canto IV full lv 3 and epic attachments, some shield, ammo, etc. my entry inventory value was about 157k before hopping in.
Briefly after spawn, we fought two teams. We managed to kill one and the other got away via elevator extract. Afterwards, we had about 10 minutes left in the match and went for the matriarch. We managed to get 4 deadlines on it and I was able to glitch inside to the core and finish it off with 3 minutes left to spare. We were low on time and one of my teammates was downed from a spawned bastion but he was crawling to the extract to buy us more time. With about 30 seconds left, me and the my teammate finished fully looting the matriarch, gathering all of its cores and essentials and began our run for the extract. However as the timer went down, we checked in with our other teammate to make sure he was going to hit the extract in time and he reassured us that he would be able to.
“I’m only 5 meters away guys, I’ll make it.”
It only took about a few seconds after this comment for him to become distracted by the timer as it closed in on 0:00, and kill himself by mistake.
We didn’t extract, and we lost everything.
He’s a super close friend of mine and we play for fun but this level of fuck up is astonishing. He had one job.
