Genuine Question: What started the "The bosses are all just the same 'guy with a sword' so it's bad" argument?
Okay, I've heard many DS2 fans make fun of this argument and I've occasionally seen being it in other subreddits (woah), but honestly, what started this argument to claim it's bad? In my opinion, the bosses closer to your size that use a sword or whatever are the most fun bosses in these games. Looking Glass Knight, Velstadt (yes, I know he uses a hammer), Fume Knight, Sir Alonne, and Burnt Ivory King are like, some of my all-time favorites from this game and they're all "dudes with swords," so... why the argument?
