Bought a used Squier CV Bass VI back in 2023 on Reverb and it came dead on arrival, 6th string wouldn't intonate, the action was extremely high, would go out of tune quickly etc, a mess.

Sent it to the luthier and turns out the nut was broken and had to take out the rosewood portion of the fretboard to fix it, also the block inlay on the first fret made that part weaker and was removed.

When the luthier greenlit me to visit the shop I had already bought a staytrem bridge so it was installed when I arrived to pick up the instrumet, I played it for a while before installing the staytrem and it felt amazing, night and day from how it was before, and then the luthier went ahead and made the adjustments for the new bridge. I will never know if the staytrem was necessary or not but it looks badass.

My experience was horrible, but given the time I've been lurking here it seems I'm in the minority, would definitely recommend.

just don't get a used one!
