Teachers who've been here 5+ years — be honest: are you saving anything? No judgment, genuinely curious where people land. Also, what are people doing to make an extra income?

The teaching wage on its own never left me much room to save, and the years I actually got ahead were the ones where I had something else ticking over beside it.

I'm curious where everyone else really sits, because this sub swings between "my retirement's sorted" and "hit 30 with nothing in the bank," and I reckon most of us are somewhere in the middle.

What's the side income? Less interested in what's meant to work, more in what actually does for you.
