I've got an important event coming up, and the dress code will have me wearing something that doesn't suit my current hair color (blue hair, blue clothes). To avoid looking like a massive blueberry I was thinking of dyeing my hair black.

My natural hair is dirty blonde. I've done red for a few years, but bleached it a few months ago to go blue. If I ever want to go back to vivid colors, is black arctic fox dye safe to use? Should I try removing my current color before redyeing?

I want to avoid making going back to vivid color harder than it needs to be, and test out the black before it's too late to go back.
