I hate my hair.

I hate my hair.

I've had a long journey with my hair. From sun-in to box dye to highlights.

Photo 1 is how my first highlights looked grown out a bit. Photo 2 is a few months later (I hate that growth separation. It's too light at the mid/lengths).

Last November I box dyed it (Photo 3) and I loved how it looked, except less than 2 or 3 weeks later it was all gone (Photo 4).

I asked for a few highlights in my roots this week and I came out blonde (Photo 5). I'm so incredibly sad I don't know what to do.

Do I have to dye it every other week to grow my natural hair out? I don't have the money. I read about color fillers (to deposit warmth so the brown grips better, but aren't I already warm?)

Please help. anything.

How long until I can fully bleach my hair again? (KINDA IMPORTANT)

Hii everyone, I just got my hair done (as shown above pic 2 and 3) AND I ABSOLUTELYYY LOVE IT however I plan to apply to jobs in mid to late Sep and want my hair to look more natural/less colourful as it's usually a lot harder to get a job with colourful hair. I'm planning to go blonde/ maybe some ginger in it so that its more natural and was wondering how damaging that will be for my hair? As u can see in the first pic thats what my hairdresser did before adding the colours (pink, purple, and blue) and I was thinking about bleaching it similar to that in Sep (or like pic 4 cause I luv Yoonchae's hair there so much and its similar to how light mine was before the colour) but I'm not sure how damaging that'll be? I usually wait around 5ish or more months between colouring my hair but my hairdresser did say that my hair is really healthy, and she also always make sure to bleach/dye it the healthiest way. But any thoughts on how damaging that'll be and if so any alternatives?

Non permanent dye

Hi, any reccomendations please on non-permenant hair dye that will work on light brown, unbleached hair? My daughter would like a fun colour for summer and last year it took 3 rounds of dying to get some pink to stick!

blue hair gone black

hi! i tried dying my hair blue from calico hair, and in order to cancel the red out i started with a cool brown semi permanent dye all over my head. it ended up darker than i imagined but seeing as the blue dye i was using has developer, i thought it would balance out.

however, my hair looks essentially pitch black(first attached photo), and nothing like how i wanted it to look (second attached photo). the box claimed that brown hair would still result in an obvious blue colour however i don’t see any blue at all.

how can i fix this? it’s a huge hit to my self esteem and i just really want blue hair lol

This Is Rough

I know now not to go to my hair salon for bleach and dye that I’ve been going to for, well…pretty much forever. I called to let them know in advance that I wanted cut, bleach, and dye. A day or more in advance. First image is where I’m currently at— 4 different unplanned colors of the brightest bleach result area (golden near my roots at my part), varying amounts of purple, weird purple brown, and now blue-gray??? Reverse mermaid?

‼️I am receptive to criticism if this is my fault. ‼️

I paid $120 (discounted) and didn’t ask for a receipt. Only took a few hours, which I hear is the first red flag.
2nd photo is my natural hair color and how long it was before cutting.
3rd photo is the color of purple I wanted (it’s a wig); I wanted bright spanking purple. I’ve never had it. I’ve had blonde highlights and reddish-violet hair before, so I’m usually receptive to dye.
4th and 5th photo are my hair after a bleach solution (not even full bleach, my top of my head was like this and my ends were dirty blonde…stylist didn’t seem concerned at all).
6th photo is right after (GORGEOUS)…
…and 7th photo is after ONE WASH. Permanent hair dye, and my salon friend never texted me back on what she used.
Next photo is after I put Arctic Fox semi permanent in my hair to try to add more purple, which made it dark. I was told I could have put more permanent in, but for some reason, I didn’t want to treat my hair with permanent dye again. I let it sit in for an hour and a half, I wasn’t playing like my salon’s 15-30 minutes or whatever it was.
Last photo is fairly recent before I really started losing purple.

Important notes: I’ve been trying to avoid sulfates (I used anti-dandruff once without realizing its contents) and use color retaining shampoo, I use strictly cold or barely lukewarm water when washing my hair, I always put my hair up when going to the pool to limit chlorine exposure, and I don’t excessively wash. That first pic is fairly greasy, actually, so I apologize 😂

I’ve been wanting purple hair since last year, but now, it looks like I need to let it heal or strengthen before tackling it again. I’m at a loss for what to do other than just let it do its thing. Asking for any tips or advice on how to move forward. My choice hair salon is fantastic with haircuts and choice bits of color, like black hair with red tips I got years ago, but I’m never doing this again with them. I’m not changing my review I left them in the hopes they do color better for other people because I don’t want to be petty, but idk.

Roots are showing don’t want to do red again. 4 hairstylists told me to wait.

First picture is after coloroops - didn’t expect to work but def lightened into a brown red. second picture is before coloroops dye remover.

I have the arctic fox bleach kit. I wanted to try blonde. Will I fry my hair off? I got the red in the second picture without bleaching. I went to a hair stylist. I asked four hair stylists to get me to blonde but they said to wait.

From pastel rose gold to cold pastel pink

I bleached and toned my hair to this pastel rose gold and it came out very peachy. It doesn't really complement my skin tone so i'm wondering how easily i can make it to Be more cold pastel pink? The current colour is only a toner, so it will fade with time but i am very impatient😂 If i want to get it more cold pastel pink, should i just slap another toner to it after washing it with deep cleansing shampoo or would a pink hair mask do enough? I also have a purple shampoo but i fear that it would make the color toi muddy 🤔 any tips are more than welcome since this is my first at home dye in years 😂

I want to dye my hair black but dont know how it would look with this orange/pink color.

So i dyed my hair a beautiful red color about two months ago and now i want to dye my hair permanently black. I cant afford going to the salon to fix it so im on a budget right now. I just need to know how to get this hair to a full jet black hair color without it fading to a weird green.

Toner (or dye) Suggestion

I did my roots last night some parts are still a lil darker than the rest, but surprisingly not bad. What toner can I use (without out having to re bleach the parts that are darker than the rest) im going for a gold blonde. (I bleached my roots, then bleach bath to the rest to get rid of old dye) i used: 9ng & 1/2 a bottle of of 9g Wella Color Charm (I got the wrong dye i thought 9ng was neutral gold vs. natural gold😂) pic #5 is from pic #6 faded. Very last is my eventual end gold

** Deleted initial post with my face showing because some one wanted to make a rude comment about it **

Can I use toner to make my just dyed Ash blonde hair more normal blonde, or do I have to use regular dye all over again?

So I just dyed my hair tony and I feel like it's a little too grey ashy for my liking, I was wondering if I can use toner to make it more blonde with ellow undertones rather
than the blue greenish one I have right now. The left is my hair and the right is what I want

does anyone have any color recs

I'm wanting to dye my hair something like this, my hair is blonde right now so I'm not worried about getting it the right shade before i put the color on. I'm looking for more yellow leaning orange dyes rather than red leaning orange dyes. i will only use semi permanent and i would prefer if i don't have to mix but i will if i need to

Hair advice: How to make turquoise look more blue?

My friend bleached and dyed my hair blue the other day and the results are overall pretty good. The only issue is that the top of my head is a slightly different color than the ends. I believe this is because my roots were pale blonde after bleaching while the rest of my hair was more yellow ish. I read online that if I mix a little bit of purple with white conditioner and put it in my hair, it will cancel out the yellow underneath and bring out the true blue color I want. Will this work? Is there anything else I can do to change the color a bit?

How do I fix brassy hair and get a nice brown?

I used Garnier Caramello Blonde and now my hair turned kind of orange/copper. I don’t like the tone and I want a nice natural brown instead.
My natural hair color is black, not even a very dark brown it’s just black and fine, thin hair.
What’s the best way to achieve this at home without ending up with more orange or damaging my hair more?
Any advice would be appreciated

The last two pictures are what I want

I read somewhere about dying it 6.1 ashy color. If not that, then just using blue shampoo but that is too high maintenance and I just want a color looks luxurious preferably same or lighter but that’s not possible, darker is fine too.

How to tone out peachy tones?

Hi everyone! I bleached my entire head at home and then was told by a hairdresser friend to use 9N and 9A-N permanent color to even out the color. It did end up evening out the blonde (my mids were a level 8 and a bit orange/yellow and the roots were a super light pale yellow). The pictures above is how it turned out in a bunch of different lightings. The attached screenshot is the tone I was going for plus the color my friend had me use. any suggestions on how to get there? Im not sure what toner to use or if i should be doing a demi permanent color/ permanent color over it. for reference my hair is extremely healthy and not dry or brittle at all. I have a brand new wella T11 toner and a 050 additive, as well as half a bottle of T10, 1/3 of a bottle of 7A, and 1/3 of a bottle of 8A. I have 20 vol developer as well as 10 vol. Not sure if any of those would be able to fix it but if any of them could let me know! Any suggestions would be amazing.
