I'm going to start off by saying that Snape is a morally grey character who has done some nasty things but also some great things. I believe he is a bad guy (judged by his personality) but acknowledge he has done some heroic things.

One way I believe he is a bad person is the way he teaches and how he treats the kids in his care. I've seen a few comments and posts recently about him being a good teacher and a thought occurred to me today while thinking about it. For those of you that believe he is a good teacher, how would you genuinely feel if your child had a teacher like Snape who treated your child like he treated Neville or Hermione?
