BIR COR Correction for 8% Tax Option
Hi! Currently privately employed and I registered my sole prop last May 14, 2026. Unfortunately, I accidentally selected “No” instead of “Yes” for the Availed of 8% ITR option during registration.
Because of that, my COR now shows 3 tax forms that I need to file:
- 1701/1701A
- 1701Q
- 2551Q
Is there still a way to update my COR at this point so that the 2551Q gets removed and I won’t need to file it anymore? Can this be done through Form 1905? I already tried through ORUS but it was unsuccessful.
Also, can I still process this anytime this month?
Another question: my COR says the filing start date for both 1701Q and 2551Q is July 1, 2026. Does that mean my first deadlines would be:
- 2551Q → October 25, 2026
- 1701Q → November 15, 2026
Did I understand that correctly?
