I don‘t think anyone’s thought of this but a part of me is wondering what would happen if Orochimaru revived Rin with the Edo tensei to mess with Kakashi.

Orochimaru knows the leaf wouldn’t let Sasuke go so easily especially Kakashi so he revives Rin to distract the copy ninja. While it certainly would catch him off guard but this leads to a strange situation for Obito.

Just think about it for a sec. Obito did everything he did to see Rin thanks to the eye of the moon plan. But with Rin resurrected how would he react to someone he’d view as a traitor doing something like this? If Kakashi finds a way for Rin to stay afterwards would Obito abandon his plan? confused? Angry? Sad? theirs so much that can be done with this. And if he doesn’t you’d think he hunt after Orochimaru for disgracing Rins memory? Angry at Kakashi even more for “failing to save Rin again” it’s a damed if you do and Damed if you don’t situation

I’m looking for stories where Mikoto or Fugacku or even both survive the massacre. I’m wonder how much would change if Itachi missed one of them
