Crazy cycle month I conceived twins
So I’ve had an Oura ring for two years before ttc, began using LH strips 5 months prior to ttc, and stopped birth control 15 months before ttc.
So the month we conceived twins, my cycle was so odd. This was the third cycle we tried before getting pregnant. Basically after my period, my basal body temp did not have a drop as it usually did for the last 2 years. Instead, it remained elevated 4 days past bleeding. I took multiple pregnancy tests because I thought it was so odd. When it did finally drop below baseline, the drop was minimal, compared to my normal big drop when I’m in my follicular phase. Come ovulation week, my first positive LH strip happened on a Monday, but my temp did not confirm ovulation until that Friday. And to be honest, my ovulation spike was less than usual too. My luteal phase then took about 1.5 weeks to raise to what it’s suppose to be. I was so sure it was odd because my body just didn’t ovulate that month and I considered the month a wash. Obviously I did ovulate as I’m pregnant with twins and gestation perfectly lines up with this cycle, but I’m still amazed by this. Again, two years of tracking, not once did this occur before. Just curious - anyone else conceive during an insane cycle?
