Recreating Warhammer Fantasy Factions in AoW4
Hey everyone
So I’ve been deep down a rabbit hole lately trying to translate Warhammer Fantasy factions into Age of Wonders 4. The theorycrafting in this game is half the fun, and honestly, the mechanics map onto the Old World lore shockingly well.
My favourite build so far has been The Empire, specifically led by Volkmar the Grim instead of Karl Franz, I went with Reaver culture to try and capture the Empire's guns and artillery focus. To get that true Empire feel, I paired the Reaver mechanics with fanatical Order tomes.
I'm having a blast playtesting this one, but I'm looking to draft up a few more, i do have Dark Elves, High Elves, Wood Elves, Dwarfs and Orkz drafted up so far.
Have any of you tried doing similar builds? If you were going to tackle something like the Skaven, Tomb Kings, or what culture and tome combos would you consider?
