We’ve had this robot for about 2 years now and it leaks pee. We have a mat under it and the mat always collects it but I cant deep clean this thing every other day and it smells. We have 3 cats - 2 squat to pee, the oldest stands and shoots it straight back. It’s not going through the hole where it rotates and used litter falls through, he just hits the back of the unit. At some point it leaks somewhere and in the pull out bin, there’s a small compartment on the right that has zero use - it all falls in there and eventually out the back of the bin onto the mat. When we detach the globe to clean, the seam that runs completely around usually has very slight crystallized pee. We also found pee randomly on/in the mechanism in the clear box on the inside of that cover piece that holds the globe in place. We’ve tried using duct tape to seal any possible gaps in the globe…nothing works. Silicone caulk is our next try but given the price of these things I’m furious. We called customer service and they told us we should “retrain our cat to pee squatting”…yeah ok, I’ll retrain my 12 year old senior cat how to pee squatting in my free time with my FT and PT jobs…….we also purchase the attachable steps for our orange cat who doesn’t have full use of his back legs. Oh, and the globe clicks when it rotates. Lately it’s even started stopping halfway through the cycle, freezing not resetting which caused our cat to poop all over the floor in front of it bc he couldn’t get in.

The amount of litter tracking drives me nuts but honestly if I can fix the pee situation I’ll deal with litter on the floor.

ANY HELPFUL TIPS?! Cute cat photos for your enjoyment.
