I have traditional litter boxes and am using World's Best but just bought a LR4 from Costco and am going to try BoxiePro. I bought a 40lb bag but was surprised at how small it was. How much do I need to get setup? I don't want to but much more than needed since I am not sure the cats will like the litter or how it will perform.
That being said, she ends up kicking it out half of the litter onto the floor. Looking for any suggestions on how to fix this. Looked at the shield that Whisker sells but it looks pretty confining with just a little door. I'm not sure how she would go for that. The ones that sell on Etsy that sit higher are okay, but there's nowhere to attach the steps that Whisker provided in my package. I've tried taking the steps away but my older cat seems to need to use them. She's not the problem. Her little sister is. Picture shows the little robot with the steps and all the litter on the floor. Second picture is the little demon.
Yesterday my Litter Robot 4 reported it was ~35% full and this morning it said it was 100% full. I forced a cycle (remotely as I'm not at home) and it now says it's 44% full. I last emptied the drawer 4 days ago and the cat fills the drawer after 7-8 days of use, so I know the 44% must be accurate.
Any idea why this is happening or how I can prevent it?
Just got a litter robot 3 secondhand, it works great except the liner keeps falling off at the back and the sand piles at the bottom on cycle.. i used clips at the front to hold it in place but can't figure out how to get the back to stay it's like there's nothing to hold it in place it falls out as soon as I assemble it
I can't get a new liner since they don't ship to my country
I have 2 cats and 2 litter boxes and we scoop twice a day and change the litter often and clean the inside of the boxes but our tiny apartnent always seems to stink of cat. Hoping to see if LR4 has helped anyone in similar situations
Is there a market for people wanting to pay someone to help replace their liner? I do it for a couple of people near me in Northern Massachusetts. It's fairly easy but I know some just don't want the hassle or have the time.
I just deep cleaned this a month ago. I have ONE cat. Any idea how urine is getting EVERYWHERE? and leaking out the back? There is wet litter caked my the area the litter hopper attaches and urine had found itself in every nook and cranny possible.

Just moved with my hubby and two adult cats to a new apartment and we decided to invest in the litter robot 4.
Few things I would love advice on!
My younger adult cat has severe anxiety and is on a low dose med to try and help otherwise she pees on everything. We have been in the new apartment for a week and she will not use the litter robot… any suggestions on how to fix this? We have a temp litter box set up for now but do not want this to last.
My eldest cat uses the litter robot (which we manually cycle or it freaks out my anxious cat). We usually wait 1 hour after she goes to cycle it but its always stuck to the inside, any tips on how to fix this?
We did a deep clean outside today and the temperature is around 87. The base was only outside for about 10 minutes and when we put it together it just won't turn on. Literally the only thing we can think of is that it overheated in those 10 minutes. It was working fine this morning. We're out of warranty. Any advice?
Looking for the best litter for the LR4 (I have two) that performs well for multiple cats (6!), is low tracking, and works well in the LR4 so obviously clumping.
I have always used the fresh step multicat clumping litter, but I have a lot of issues with tracking everywhere and I haven’t ever tried to “optimize” my use of the LR4.

I feel like ive tried so much to get my robot to work consistently and am just about to go back to regular scooping. Does anyone know someone or of a company in Oregon who does litter robot repairs?
I could swear the app was in dark mode. Now everything is white. Is there a way to change it back Or is this the new update?
I'm finding that the seal strips are the biggest source of odor for my LR4. I tried vacuuming them, brushing litter out of them, etc. I have a heavy pee-er cat, and despite trying different litter brands and adjusting the clean cycle settings, urine soaked ltter constantly gets caught in the strips at the entrance of the waste drawer, resulting in it also getting caught in the strips around the underside of the dump port.
I tried replacing them with different "closed-cell EPDM" rubber strips (found ones with the right measurements), but of course they're not designed right and don't have the right adhesive, so they just came loose.🤦♀️
I ordered replacement seal strips directly from whisker, but I'm hoping to find a solution before they get here to prolong the life of them.
I wish the litter robot had a deeper globe to allow for higher levels of litter. I'm not sure if I should keep trying to find a different litter brand or what. Currently using the arm and hammer slide.

We went with World’s Best Poop Fighter litter since it was recommended by the guy that sold the Litter Robot to us.
Now… I don’t know if its just the nature of the litter or my boy just pees so horrifically and violently when we’re not looking thats causing the issue but the number and size of piss clumps that are stuck to the globe is a lot. And they’re stuck in such a way that when the globe cycles, they do not fall into the opening of the waste tray. He’s also tracking clumps around the house as well.
Was wondering if any of you have any insight or recommendations for different litter that might address these problems.

Hi, I am a new Litter-Robot 4 owner, and I just discovered that there is urine leaking out the back of the machine. Any thoughts on where this is coming from and how I can stop it? My little robot still looks pretty clean so I only noticed this because of the smell. ( Although it has appeared to have damageed my baseboard.)
I have had the lr5 in our home since it was released. We haven’t had any issues with it at all. Honestly it’s a great product. When I bought it I was interested in the litter hopper, and was a bit dismayed that the hopper wasn’t available when the lr5 pro was released.
When the hopper was finally available in early June for order, I placed an order for it. It arrived yesterday June 2nd. I followed the steps. Vacuumed and wiped down surfaces and connected per instructions. Firmware and app version are as indicated in the onboarding instructions.
When the hopper was seated nothing happened. Having never owned a hopper I had no idea what to expect. But there was no chime or message on the lr5. There was no motor calibration noise or led indicator on the hopper. And there was no change in the app. I tried adding the hopper in the app but nothing ever showed up.
A bit dismayed I called customer support. There were a few areas of concern. 1. The bonnet was pulling up and away from the globe primarily from the weight of the hopper with litter. 2. The app wasn’t showing any hopper. 3. The lr5 connection button pressing for enabling the hopper did nothing. We factory reset the lr5 pro after removing it from the app. We power cycled and reinstalled the hopper. Still nothing. Customer support got my phone model and WiFi device model and said he would send my info to engineering.
I’m just wondering if any one else has experienced this. I am starting to believe that the dc port on the back has no power, or the hopper has not been wired correctly. I was going to go look for my multi meter because the whole process seems like it should just work, but I don’t see any indication that power is present on the hopper.
Additional info. I emptied the hopper and reseated it so the bonnet would not have the weight on it. This did help with the bonnet lifting away. I also removed the bonnet and globe entirely and seated the hopper by its self to visually see that it was flush with the insert area and barrel plug. After reinstalling globe and bonnet there was no change in how the hopper seated. I don’t think it’s a physical connection issue based on this.
Update: whisker reached out to me in this post. They have initiated shipping a new hopper for the lr5 pro. Once I receive the replacement I will update again and let anyone curious know if it was the hopper I initially received. I do want to say here that I am grateful for everyone’s help and the service support whiskers team provided here.
I've got two cats Zenni pictured, and Fiona who is a bog standard Tabby. Robot detects Fiona perfectly fine. Almost never is she "unidentified pet"
Zenni though, more often than not is unidentified pet. It's been running for two months now.
I can't decide if it's her obvious facial difference or if it's her white fur washing our the cameras.
Curious if others have similar experiences.
Our first litter robot arrived last night, and our big boy was screaming with joy. Has he tried it yet? Nope!

-Advertised features are either not working as expected (WasteID) or not available yet (globe camera recordings), leading customers to feel like they are beta testers
-Data that was previously available for free (e.g. historical weight trends and visit duration) have been locked behind Whisker+ subscription paywall
-Litter Robot 5 Pro owners need paid Whisker+ subscription to utilize integrated hardware (e.g. cat facial recognition and globe camera recordings)
-Whisker advertised that non-Whisker+ subscribers would receive 2 free days of camera recordings, but then nixed that for interior globe recordings, which will require a paid Whisker+ subscription to view at all
-Cat identification is unreliable
-Privacy concerns about camera facing into home that records audio and video, can be viewed by Whisker and shared with 3rd parties, with no opt-out
-Integrated USB-C port on both Litter Robot 5 and Litter Robot 5 Pro were disabled without warning or reason
-Firmware updates that can take hours or days to complete and can brick units if interrupted
-Clunky and unintuitive app interface
-Robots failing to record visits
-Litter level and waste level sensors unreliable
