I’ve been working on a drill based on Woohoojin’s idea behind “this is why I require 300 hours for VOD review,” where the core issue is not thinking from your opponent’s POV consistently.

I want feedback on whether I’m structuring it in the best way, because it doesnt feel like it when I practice it.

Drill:

\- Load into deathmatch

\- Check heatmap/scoreboard and pick one specific player

\- Stand still -> mentally switch: “I am them”

\- Only move/shoot while actively holding that mindset

\- The moment that POV drops, I pause, reset “I am them,” then continue

The goal is to change your thought process to start with thinking of yourself as your opponent and make every action come from the opponent’s perspective first.

Currently immortal 2 and pushing for radiant, definetly feel like this is the difference maker I need.

Would appreciate any serious input.

Edit: Ive been seeing alot of confusion on the comments and I want to clarify that this dm drill is purely only meant to build the muscle of imagining yourself as ur opponent

Also yeah I understand this concept is weird asf, if u want to understand it just watch his video on it

Alright lets start with what this drill practices, it changes your decision making process to be "be ur opponent, do their worst nightmare" directly inspired by woohoojin if you know who that is.

First off I want it to be clear, I don't believe this is the MOST effective way of practicing this I have a much better version of this drill for a different game but I still think this is very effective.

Now load up deathmatch

Step 1) Look at the minimap, choose 1 red circle (thats a person if you dont know)

Step 2) very important dont move until you imagine yourself as that person moving around before pressing ANY movement buttons

Step 3) Now that you are that person go after them with the mindset "how do I kill this guy"

Now for me when I did this it honestly woke me up to be like oh damn a 50/50 means they could kill me (I know, this made me realize how big my valorant ego is in fights lol)

Anyway I know you might not see the point in this and I havent fully mastered this technique, honestly lets just call this duelvision for now. I only sometimes do duelvision in game unconciously since I only practiced this for 3 days now?

I swear you just have to experience duelvision to understand, when you use duelvision the play to kill another player or win becomes the easiest thing in the world.

Thanks for reading!
