I went out with my girlfriend's family for mother's day. My girlfriend expected me to pay and said its embarrassing that I didn't. But the mom is married (to my girlfriends dad) and I believe he should pay. She is not my mom (we've been dating for over a year) and she has a husband on top of it. Oh and I did buy her nice flowers.

When we went out earlier in the day with my mother and she and my brother came, I paid for it because she is my mom. I think its crazy to expect a boyfriend to pay for the family when its not even my family and I was invited. I didn't even want to go.

What do you guys think? Who should pay?
