Hi so I have a black and red ombré in my hair but the black ALWAYS bleeds into the red making the color muddied, even doing a root retouch it bleeds and darkens the red. Ive tried so many different barrier methods but it’s not working. The only thing that “helps” is to do a bleach bath on my ends after I’ve washed my hair a few times. Obviously I don’t want to keep doing that and further damaging my ends. I use permanent dye since I’ve started going gray at 24 which I saw helps but it’s not enough.

If you have any other suggestions please let me know I really want to keep this look but I don’t want to keep damaging my hair.
