hair turned out green, meant to be teal!!!

Went to the hairdressers around two weeks ago, was meant to get my hair done this dark turquoise/teal, but she got the wrong hairdye. I waited a few weeks to tey and get used to it and i still dont like it, it has started to fade and its been two washes since i got it done.
I have been looking for a blue hairdye to put ontop to make it the colour i want, but i cant find a good brand that actually has good results and i dont want to use box dye from the shop as ive had bad experience with it.
My hairdresser offered to buy me the blue hairdye but i dont know if I trust her with colours anymore.
CAN I GEY ANY HELP PLEASE!!! And this is my hair when I got it done. It looks about the same now but just a few areas have faded. And the colour I wish on the next slide.

Neapolitan Hair (Influence or Deinfluence me)

Okay, i’ve been wanting to do this hair for so long but im holding back as i really don’t know if it would fit me cause i have really black hair. I have a couple questions for the hairdressers of reddit!

• Is this hard to maintain, if yes, what should i have to maintain it?
• should i do the first one or a peekaboo if i dont want it to be hard to maintain?
• Would this be okay with thick and a lil frizzy hair?
• How many round of bleach does it take to get that blonde?
• Should i get this professionally done or this would be easier and cheaper if i did this to myself (i have no experience with dyeing hair)

Would really help alot! I’m about to get one soon 💕🍓

What’s the most annoying part of dyeing your own hair at home?

If you could magically fix one thing about dyeing your own hair at home, what would it be?

Do you have any hacks or workarounds or have you (like me) given up and started getting someone else to help 😅

Curious to hear others experiences!

Hair Color - Need help!

Hi girls!

I'm planning to dye my hair (golden/honey) blonde. My hair base is light brown/chatain (used to be naturally blonde).

I've tried coppery golden blond, light golden blonde, and light veneziano from Color & Soin, and very light golden blond and extra light blonde from Phyto, but it's still too dark. Right now my roots are light brown/chocolate and the rest a gold/sort of honey, but not as light as the pictures (it's also darker when in a dark room).

Does anyone know which shade & brand would work successfully to achieve these results (I'm guessing honey blonde)?

All I hope is not to bleach, please 😓 Thank you!

Hair color!

Ok guys I’ve been doing a lot of thought on this recently but I need help, should I stay blonde like I am right now or should I go brunette. All my family thinks I’m gonna regret going brown but I just need different input. Let me know!!

HELP!!

I got this done professionally last week and I hate it! I don’t want my roots to be black (I have naturally light brown hair so you can imagine how crazy I will look) and wanted a darker, more even red. How can I fix this asap at home?

I need real genuine advice for this hair

Hello all,

Let me begin with I am open to people telling me it’s impossible and to just not touch my hair. However, if it is possible and just requires time and patience, I can also do that.

I bleached my hair back in November and December to do a peekaboo with money pieces. I dyed it back to black (no I did not add back red :P), and this is now what we are working with. I probably have grown about 3-4 inches of hair since then.

Is it possible to do like an all over warm brown hair?
I have some images attached that shows the progression of hair that I’ve had, as well as the inspo pics of what I want!! The peekaboo part of my hair that I’ve bleached is definitely fried for sure (my hair is a little wavy, and it can’t even hold a wave anymore).

Last photo is me last week lol. Let me know what yall think of the colors I’ve chosen, and whether or not it’s possible. I’m thinking of just doing color oops on the parts I’ve dyed black, bleaching the rest of my hair 1-2x, bleaching the color oops part once, then all over color. Idk tho

Tried something new

First 2 pics: Before. Last 3 pics: After.

So within the last year I started dying my hair bold colors, and now I went for a bold (at least for me) hairstyle too! I am actually so in love with it 😭🖤 I have never felt this beautiful in my life. I've sent pics to family and friends and nobody has really said anything so I'm posting it here for my girlies 🫶🏻

Need advice on color correction

I used black box dyed then used color oops, it worked but then I put blue over it and it went black 🥲. I went to a stylist and she turned me away because my hair melted when she tried to bleach it (I appreciated her saving my hair health over being paid :))

My hair is just quite susceptible to bleach damage but is lower back length and id like to keep that and for it to eventually be a dirty blonde (I know it’ll be a very slow process due to repeated dark hair color)

horrific bleach job

i tried to bleach my hair at home and it came out extremely splotchy and uneven after one round due to bad application and some parts just wouldn't lighten

my base was black hair with blonde chunky highlights which is why you can see some parts are way lighter and toned

should i attempt to fix this or go to a hairdresser, if so what would the hairdresser do to fix this

Update: What natural or alt hair colors can I do myself?

If you look at my post history you'll see what I was originally aiming for (honey blonde, honey brown, the like) but the hairdresser my mum knows (and probably the only one they'd be willing to pay for said only black or a dark brown is possibly and I hate the idea of both of those rn) I'd prefer to do something natural to appease my parents but if my only option is black or brown I'm just putting on a hijab or something and dying my hair as I please

hair green oh no

so, i had blue hair from manic panic blue, let it fade for ~4 weeks and went in with 2 rounds of colorfix semi permanent color remover. this worked on some of my hair, but other parts of my hair are green. i have ~2 weeks to get this out, do you guys think using color remover again in 2 days will do the trick enough that my usage of head and shoulders anti-dandruff shampoo will help get the green out in 2 weeks? should i just use the anti-dandruff shampoo? should i not use anti-dandruff shampoo? what combination of these will work the best?

MUDDY GREEN

it's bad.

Purple over orange canvas. The purple looked pink based on the box but was actually VERY BLUE BASED. I did 2 vitamin C treatments this week and one bleach bath( prior to this color). One vitamin c treatment was made today.

I really don't wanna go to dark. Can I put bright red over to get red?

Blue + Orange Hair

Using Pulp Riot Blue Muse + Iced Skater for the blue, and Nuclear for the orange

Before, during, after ✨

Went from a faded green, bleached out, and now a soft red - might go more natural auburn once I’ve given my hair time to rest. What do we think? Also do you know a shade of red/orange/auburn that would suit me better?

Dying parts black and bleaching highlights

So I have bleached brown hair with loooong black roots, and I wanted to bleach my hair at home to get chunky silver highlights similar to the first picture. The problem is, I want to dye the rest of my hair back to black. I want the majority of my hair to be black.

Do I bleach the parts I want silver first, or dye the parts I want black first? My concern is that the black dye will bleed. I tried protecting the sections I wanted silver using tin foil to dye my hair black first, but the process is really freaking tedious. My hair keeps falling out of the tin foil, and it’s hard to manage so many pieces in my hair. Any advice would be very helpful :’’)

I have purple hair already and I want to dye my hair with a permanent dye.

Hi. (capybara because I don't feel pretty💜)
So, I have semi-permanent dyed purple hair on a bleached hair (you can see the bleached version on the 2nd slide.) and the most recent photo of it on the first slide.
I originally wanted my hair color like the 3rd slide but the hairdresser I went to didn't deliver well and made my hair pink so I dyed my hair this purple color and then it faded over time. and because of sun, top of my hair is more faded compared to my ends.

Anyway. I bought this permanent hair dye on the 5th slide but I'm afraid how it'll look like when I put that on my already purple hair.
so my questions are:

1- Is it ok to dye your already bleached and dyed hair a permanent hair dye? Will it damage or how will the color turn out?

2- Can I use some of it on a strand of hair to try it? Or I can only use everything at one go?

3- Should I wait for my hair to fade a little more before dying it or is it looking ok right now?

4- My roots are not bleached, (see the 4th slide) how will that look like?

I would be very thankful if anyone could reply. 💜

I tried the removing hair dye at home, it started acting like an acid, so I washed it off (im okay now), anyone knows what happened there?

I'm bit impulsive so after few tries with visible but mild results, I kind of mixed all the techniques together. Using lemon juice and splash of vinegar that I mixed into a conditioner, like a cherry on top of my potion, I added one baking soda based vitamin tablet, so it would be more activated. I put it on my head and within minutes it started heating up. The heat intensified and before I had time to pay attention to it, I started smelling this rancid smell, so I immediately washed it off, because the smell definitely was my skin or hair starting to get chemically burned, or just some other really bad chemical interaction. I washed it off with cold water, then did 3 rounds of shampoo, and after washing it off completely I used generic canola oil for moisturizing, because I didn't want to add some other random chemicals from hair moisturizer into the mix.

Im not looking for medical advice, in case something does turn up I will go to the er, but I'm just wondering whether someone knows, what the hell have I even created, did I create like a potent acid, or was it some other sort of chemical reaction producing that smell, do you have any ideas, I'm curious what even happened there?
