Is it possible to get from purple to green without color remover/bleaching?

Hi guys, me again! I want to go emerald green, but right now i’m at a kind of faded purple and I don’t really want to color remove unless i absolutely have to. I wanted to know if it was possible to go from pic 1, my current color, to pic 2 (desired color) without bleaching or color removing, thank you all sm!

Hair dresser dyed way too dark :(

I’m so sad because I’ve been blonde for years and wanted a change and was so so so clear I didn’t want dark brown hair. I had an entire album of inspo photos she barely looked at, I should’ve taken that as the first red flag, I also specifically said I want light light brown hair, I don’t want it to be dark at all. This is what I ended up with, it’s so dark it genuinly looks black in some lighting. I feel like I’m being gaslit by everyone saying it isn’t that dark and I don’t understand how she could possibly mess this up and I feel so upset because my main goal was to grow my hair out and keep it healthy and now I absolutely hate the color I really really did not want dark hair that’s the one thing I said I didn’t want I feel so upset :(

Hairstylists refusing to dye my hair

Hello! Over the years I’ve had my hair dyed in all kinds of colors. I stopped dyeing my hair for 1.5 years now and I let it grow, without cutting it. The only thing I’ve been doing to my hair in all this time was to tone it every 2 months in order for it to be a colder shade of brown like in the first picture. In the 3rd picture you can see my natural hair color, without the toning. The toner doesn’t have ammonia, it’s not considered hair dye. I feel like my hair is the healthiest it’s been in years.

So I asked 3 salons from my city if they could do my hair like in the second picture, with baby pink highlights. 2 of the salons refused me, telling me my hair is still damaged (without even seeing me) and that the pink wouldnt be baby pink, but darker even if they tried.

For the 3rd salon, I visited them physically and we tested on 2 strands of hair whether the hair lightens enough with bleach. The test was successful but they only had an open slot for the end of june and it is too much for me to wait almost 2 months just to bleach my hair. In the meantime, I got a SMS from them announcing me that they’re also making their prices higher starting from next month, which I think is unprofessional.

I’d like your opinion, especially if you are a professional. Does my hair really look THAT unhealthy? I am shocked that I keep on getting refused while some of those hairstylists’ clients have hair that is visibly more damaged than mine…

Colour specialist of 30 years did this

When I went back to have it corrected she said there was nothing wrong with it and Im just not used to it not being platinum blonde and it just needs more highlights. I had already asked my hairdresser friends in different city what she should do and it was supposed to be a zone tone? When I said this to her she said no because theres nothing wrong with it. I walked out of the salon and left a bad review then the manager contacted me accusing me of trying to sabotage their business with the bad review. I paid 420 for this mess and they are refusing to refund me.

Dark plum dyes

Hi, so I'm very new to this and i was wondering if this purple shade would show up on my dark brown virgin hair without bleaching prior? I've heard using a permanent dye will basically do the same thing as bleach anyway but I just seem to have this irrational fear of bleaching lol. Any dye recs?

I don't mind it not being as bright.

ALSO, please ignore my terrible hair. I recently cut it myself and it was a bit of a disaster😬

The orange is my current hair. Caramel brown is what i wanted:(

Okay so for a long time i wanted to get the milk tea hair. I saw some tiktok videos about girls dying their hair at home with garnier packet dye and getting the color.

Anyways. i bought the box dye and my hair turned orange❗️😊

and I'm losing my mind. maybe the girls used a higher level of developer or something idk.

Now, someone please help me get the caramel hair dye please. how do i turn my orange into a this caramel brown????

I did not use bleach.

MY EXPERIENCE with lightening black box dye

you see the title, it is MY experience and no others, which means what i have done in this process may or may not get the same results. (bet on it not happening)

to preface, the first photo is my hair prior. it is naturally curly/wavy and has a lot of thickness despite thinning it etc.

i last dyed my hair with black box dye on december 5th of 2025, and it has been fading ever since. although it has been "fading" it was still very dark and i have a natural very dark brown color. i was told by stylists to get it platinum it would probably take 3-4 months, and it would be very expensive, so of course i opted to doing it at home a while later. i have EXTREME bleach fear, so i trusted myself a lot with this process and tried to listen to my gut while still respecting objective facts.

the second photo is after the first bleach, it is slightly damp but not completely soaked so the color is almost accurate. as you can see, the roots lightened quite a bit (the grown out virgin bits) but the ends were super dark. i bleached once more but didnt take a photo, and then bleached a third time. the third photo is the results of after bleaching and toning (dont remember which toner, maybe T18 ash wella toner) and it was still very ginger. the last photo is after doing an "ash brown" hair dye over all of it, trying to get a less ginger result.

ok, that is my truth, that is how it went, and honestly if youre attempting this process and you have around my cosmetology skill (very poor) then dont expect the greatest. if you are somewhat experienced, i think its possible to get way lighter than i did.

Which toner should I opt for?

I bleached my hair tonight and got this strawberry color! Should I try to tone it or just lean into the copper with a glaze?

Could Frosé Arctic Fox show up on my hair?

Hi everyone!! I have some arctic fox frose leftover from when i used to dye my hair pink, i know your hair has to be real light for it to show up, do you think my hair is light enough? I love doing my hair but i feel like i can only do pink because it fades so quick

Failed to get purple ends

Today I bleached and dyed my hair first time in my life and I wanted to have purple hair but I failed :(( , should I have bleached it more or maybe the semipermanent dye wasn’t that good? (Also after applying the dye I washed my hair, idk if that’s bad)

Is this black/blue color achievable without bleaching my hair?

Hi! Just wanted to know if it’s possible for me to get my hair to the shade of blue (in pictures) without bleaching it (and by doing it myself).

If it’s possible, what brand of dye is recommended? Any tips and advice?

Would really appreciate it, thank you!

Advice for complete beginner

I want to dye a human hair wig I got since it didn’t come in the right color I ordered. The wig is supposedly honey blonde, having an orangish color with brown parts. I’m wanting more a lighter strawberry blonde color or a beige blonde maybe? Is that achievable? I have never dyed hair before so I’m not sure how to go about things.
