Honestly, after watching Discovery, I just can’t look at older Trek the same way. The modern aesthetic and real science focus are unmatched.

I know a lot of traditional fans swear by the 90s shows, but after getting hooked on Star Trek: Discovery, I tried going back to watch Deep Space Nine and I just couldn't get into it at all. The older, flat studio sets and episodic resets feel so dated compared to what we have now.

For me, Discovery is easily the most science-heavy Trek of all time. I love that the writers abandoned the lazy 90s "technobabble" to give us arcs grounded in real-world concepts like actual astromycology for the Spore Drive, legitimate astrophysics formulas from real-life science advisors on the glass boards, and macro-evolutionary biology inspired by real extremophiles like Tardigrades.

Why do many parents struggle with their kids during puberty?

I’ve noticed that in Senegal, a lot of parents seem to have difficulties handling their children once they reach adolescence. Puberty brings changes in mood, independence, and identity, but instead of guiding, some parents respond with strictness or silence.

Is this because of cultural taboos around talking openly about sexuality and emotions? Is it a generational gap where parents don’t understand the world their kids are growing up in? Or is it simply a lack of tools and support for parents to navigate this stage?

I’d love to hear your experiences whether as parents, young people, or observers. How can families improve communication and trust during this sensitive period?

🚨 IT'S OFFICIAL: Senegal will face Belgium in the Round of 32!

With the group stage officially wrapped up and the third-place matrix locked in, Senegal is confirmed to face Belgium.

Match is scheduled for Wednesday, July 1st at 13:00 local time (20:00 GMT / 22:00 CET) at Lumen Field.

Honestly, how do we feel about this matchup? Belgium's golden generation is gone and they've looked vulnerable, but they still have serious quality. On the other hand, we still looking solid.

Can Senegal pull off the upset here or does Belgium take it? Predictions?

Après le 5-0 historique contre l'Irak, on affronte qui en 16es ? Vous préférez le Brésil ou les USA ?

What a night for the Lions of Teranga! First African team to score 5 goals in a single World Cup match.

With our +2 goals difference, we are virtually through. According to the FIFA bracket matrix, our opponent is mathematically down to two options depending on this weekend's final group results:

Brazil in Houston (Most likely scenario) : A legendary clash, highly prestigious, but Vinícius Jr. and company look terrifying right now.

USA in New York/NJ (If Croatia or DR Congo shake up the 3rd-place matrix): Facing the host nation in front of a wild crowd, but stylistically maybe a more balanced tactical matchup for Senegal.

How do we address the alarming rise of child abuse and violence against minors in Senegal?

I am deeply shaken by the constant stream of headlines about child abuse, rape, and violence against minors in Senegal, and today’s Libération front page is unbearable proof: a 13yo girl in Warang raped and murdered by a man who dares to call her his “girlfriend,” a teacher in Ndioum arrested for raping his 15yo student, and a man caught abusing talibé children as young as 7 and 11 in Diamaguène Sicap‑Mbao. Despite rape being criminalized, children remain unsafe at school, in the streets, and even in religious settings, while justice feels far too slow and lenient. What role can civil society, communities, and social media play in breaking the silence around pedophilia? Outrage alone is not enough we need stronger laws, strict enforcement, and collective action to end these crimes.
