The area around Nytorget has been designated a stadsmiljözonen for quite a while now, but it doesn’t really seem to make much of a difference yet. Whether that’s due to vague rules for deliveries or unaware taxi drivers, it seems like the outcome is to be desired.

A 5 minute walk shows cars honking to pedestrians, and even to a visitors of a cafe sitting on the terrace, trucks blocking roads everywhere and literal traffic jams on streets the municipality ironically calls “gågator”.

This cannot be what policy makers envisioned right? Is the city just that car dependent that I can’t successfully transform its infrastructure or will it just take time to adjust?

Honestly curious what people think.

Dag allemaal, ik ben oprecht doodsbang dat ik in al m’n naïviteit een tijd geleden zeer onzorgvuldig er zeil heb verwijderd en grote hoeveelheden asbest heb ingeademd.
