I’m looking into getting a Mazda3, specifically the 2015 or 2016 models, but I wanted to get some local "street intelligence" before I commit.
For those of you who drive one or have owned one here in Zambia:
• Reliability: How has it held up on our roads? I know they are low, so how do you manage with the speed bumps and potholes in places like Lusaka or the Copperbelt?
• Common Problems: Have you encountered any major mechanical headaches that I should look out for?
• Servicing: How often do you take it in?
• Maintenance Costs: Roughly how much are you spending on a standard service (oil, filters, etc.)? Are parts easy to find at places like shops in town?
I’m really drawn to the fuel economy and how they look, but I don't want to buy a nightmare to maintain.
