2010 5.3L silverado 220k km. My truck has been burning oil for quite some time needing ~2L every 2000km. Also have carbon build up in throttle body. So my plan was PCV valve replacement (valve cover) and decided to start using valvoline restore and protect.

Oil change 600km ago with 5.7L of valvoline in. 300km later oil gauge dancing. So i changed filter which didnt seem that gunked but what do i know (not a mechanic at all). Now in last 300km i have had to add 3-4L of oil. My gauge goes down and i hear ticking which makes me think it’s definitely not a gauge error. Add oil i get decent pressure and ticking stops. My dipstick is VERY hard to read or im totally useless.

There appears to be no leak under vehicle but i have cardboard under it now. But i have crawled under it with it running and nothing obvious

Thoughts on whats going on here? What to do now?

TLDR was burning oil. Added valvoline restore ans protect and now seems to be burning oil at a silly rate. 1L ~100km.
