SKYLRK returns

Like everyone else, I got my Coachella merch and the quality is ass. I’ve been talking to the bot and they said that a human is going to review but I haven’t heard back yet. Anyone experience this too? What did you do from this point on?

Question about the verbiage of dental insurance

Hello! I was reading my insurance policy, and it says this. I have two individual dental insurance plans. This is a plan I’ve had for longer, and there’s another plan I’ve had for shorter. Would this mean that the other plan would go first, if they don’t coordinate benefits? TY!

ORDER OF BENEFIT DETERMINATION
When another plan does not have rules coordinating its benefits with those of this policy, or if it has coordination of benefits rules which differ from the rules described in this COORDINATION OF BENEFITS (COB) provision, that other plan must determine benefits first.
When another plan does have rules coordinating its benefits with those of this policy, and those rules are similar to the rules described in this COORDINATION OF BENEFITS provision, the first of the following rules which applies will govern:
(a)
If a plan covers you as an employee, retiree, member, subscriber, or nondependent, then that plan will pay its benefits first; except when:

  1. one plan covers you as a laid-off or retired employee (or a dependent of such person);
  2. the other plan includes this Coordination of Benefits rule for laid-off or retired employees (or is issued in a state which requires this Coordination of Benefits rule by law);
    then the plan which covers you as other than a laid-off or retired employee (or a dependent of such person) will pay first. If the other plan does not have this Coordination of Benefits rule regarding laid off or retired employee rule, and if, as a result the plans do not agree on the order of benefits, this rule will not apply.
    (b) If none of the above rules applies, the plan which has covered you for the longer period of time will pay its benefits first.
    Where part of a plan coordinates benefits and a part does not, each part will be treated like a separate plan.

Question about Dental Plans

If anyone has had experience with this, I’d love to know! I have Mutual of Omaha insurance #1 (individual dental insurance plan that will coordinate benefits, however, I have had this plan for longer - this is a premier plan), so therefore this will be considered as my “primary” insurance. I have another Aetna insurance #2 (individual dental insurance plan that will not coordinate benefits, I have had this plan for shorter, so therefore it will be considered as my “secondary” insurance. I have not used either insurance just yet.

I am wondering if it makes sense to cancel my premier insurance #1, then apply for the basic insurance #1 (still Mutual Omaha, but diff type of plan). The Mutual of Omaha premier and basic plan both cover the same amount for the type of work I need.

I’m just worried that if I cancel the premier version, then try to apply for the basic one the same day, there would be a period of time it takes to cancel the plan and then it would take some time to apply for the basic one, or that this would somehow disrupt my new application for Mutual of Omaha.

If anyone has experience with this, I’d love to hear it. Thank you!
