UK med as incoming 2nd year undergrad

i’m currently going into my second year of undergrad this september but i am considering applying to UK med schools via that high school pathway.

i know the UCAT isn’t as demanding as the MCAT and once i’m in then i’m basically guaranteed to become a doctor. the only downside is i would be starting 2 years later (and essentially wasted my 2 years of undergrad as my credits won’t likely transfer)

ig i should have done my research in highschool but ik how slim the odds are to get into med here in canada. should i just complete my undergrad and try with everyone else?

i would love any advice from anyone who has gone through the process or has been in a similar situation. any tips for applying and how to stand out?

i’m not really worried about cost or matching back for residency after im done.
