Most trading journals are the same.
They track entries, exits, PnL… and that’s it.
But let’s be honest:
Most traders don’t lose because of strategy.
They lose because of emotions.
Fear.
Greed.
Overconfidence.
Revenge trading.
So I’m building something different:
Emovest — a trading journal focused on emotional analysis, not just numbers.
Here’s the idea:
You log your trades + how you felt while taking them
The system analyzes your behavior patterns
It detects emotional biases (like overtrading after losses)
It shows you where your psychology is hurting your performance
The goal is simple:
Turn your emotions into data you can actually improve
Instead of:
“I think I messed up here”
You get:
“You tend to overtrade when you lose 2 trades in a row”
Why this matters
Most traders repeat the same mistakes over and over
without even realizing it.
This is basically trying to solve that.
Not another strategy tool.
Not signals.
Not predictions.
Just helping you stop sabotaging yourself.
Current state
Working on the web platform
Planning features like:
Emotional tracking per trade
Visual stats & patterns
Habit tracking / discipline metrics
Future: integrations with brokers
Honest question
Would you actually use something like this?
Or do you think traders won’t stick to logging emotions?
I’m trying to validate if this solves a real problem
or if it just sounds good in theory.
