2017 Nissan 370Z automatic, around 144k miles.

Current issue is intermittent. Sometimes the car drives completely normally, but other times it barely accelerates, RPM flares, shifts harshly, and seems to jump between gears. At its worst, the engine revs high but the car only creeps forward slowly.

Codes read:

• P0500
• P0720

Symptoms:

• intermittent loss of acceleration
• harsh shifting / clunking
• RPM flare
• manual mode/paddles stopped responding at one point
• sometimes the car goes completely back to normal again

Nissan dealer suspects the valve body, but I want a second opinion before approving a very expensive repair.

I am looking for:

1. anyone who has had the same P0500/P0720 issue on a 370Z 7AT
2. a reliable shop in or around Atlanta that can properly diagnose valve body / speed sensor / wiring / TCM issues
3. a shop that can handle Nissan valve body programming/relearn if needed
