"I'm experiencing a sudden and significant battery drain on my Snapdragon S22 Ultra. I used to get around 4.5 hours of Screen-On Time (SOT), but recently it has dropped to barely 3.5 hours.

Here is what I have already tried:

o Performed a full factory reset.

Reduced/removed my Good Lock customizations.

Checked battery health via Samsung Members, which shows it's at 89%.

Despite these efforts, the issue persists. I'm getting really frustrated with this device. Has anyone faced a similar issue recently, or is there something else might be missing? Any tips on what I should do next would be greatly appreciated."

​I’ve been following the ongoing confusion regarding the One UI 8.5 update for the Galaxy S22 series, and I decided to reach out to Samsung Support to get a definitive answer. What I found was a complete lack of transparency and conflicting information across different regions.

​Previously, users shared screenshots of Samsung Germany support confirming that the S22 series is compatible with One UI 8.5. However, when I contacted Samsung Levant (Middle East) support today, the response was entirely different، The representative couldn't provide any concrete information, stating that "there is no official announcement" and that they have "no information regarding the inclusion or exclusion of the S22 series" from the update roadmap.

​It feels as if the company knows exactly what its plans are but is intentionally keeping us, the consumers, in the dark, or perhaps they have strictly instructed customer service to withhold this information.

​My experience summarizes the core issue: 1. The information provided by Samsung support is inconsistent globally.

2. Official channels are silent, leaving us to rely on speculation from unofficial sources like SamMobile.

3. As long-time users of the S22 Ultra, we deserve a clear roadmap, not generic "we have no information" responses.

​Has anyone else received a different or more specific answer from support in your region? It's time we get some clarity on whether the S22 series has reached its end-of-life for major updates or if there’s a genuine plan for One UI 8.5.
